New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Kimberly Jones of the NFL Network. Head coach Tom Coughlin wasn't sure if Jennings would be back after New York's Week 8 bye, but answered "I hope so" when asked.
Rashad Jennings ruled out for Week 7; Andre Williams is the backup for fantasy owners
Rashad Jennings has been ruled out for Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jennings is dealing with a knee injury that forced him out of the team's Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Rookie fourth-round pick Andre Williams started that game and had a so-so performance, carrying the ball 16 times for 58 yards. Jennings has been solid this year, with 91 carries for 396 yards and two touchdowns and another 109 yards through the air.
Fantasy Impact: Jennings was considered a boom-or-bust fantasy candidate this offseason, thanks to his first real starting opportunity with a team that had a chance of being good (sorry, Oakland Raiders). He hasn't quite lived up to that, but he hasn't been bad by any stretch of the imagination. Jennings' fantasy owners can safely plan on starting Williams against the Cowboys, who are about middle-of-the-pack when it comes to stopping the run (115.0 rushing yards allowed per game).
