Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart practiced in full pads on Wednesday, according to Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer. Stewart has been a limited participant in practice over the past two weeks thanks to a knee injury sustained against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3. Stewart has missed Carolina's last three games.
Jonathan Stewart practicing in full pads; fantasy value still low
Stewart is practicing in full pads on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Panthers have been a mess at the running back position all season. DeAngelo Williams is still out for the foreseeable future and Stewart has been missing for three games. Then there's Mike Tolbert who was hurt and the Panthers are relying on Fozzy Whittaker and Darrin Reaves. They average 86.8 rushing yards per game, which puts them at 28th in the NFL.
Fantasy Impact: Cam Newton currently leads the Panthers with 31 carries for 149 yards and a touchdown. That's ... not good for the Panthers, who gave Newton way too many touches in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Stewart only has 29 carries for 88 yards and a touchdown, but the prospect of him being healthy and starting is promising. He doesn't have much fantasy value at this point, but if you've thrown your lot in with the Panthers running backs (we're sorry), then this is good news.
