Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart expects to play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7, according to Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer. Stewart was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, for the first time since sustaining a knee sprain against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 21.
Jonathan Stewart expects to play; solid fantasy value against a bad Packers run defense
Jonathan Stewart expects to play against the Packers in Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

Stewart started the season as the primary backup to DeAngelo Williams, though the two backs have split carries for years. Both have been injured for awhile, and Williams is a bit further off from returning. That's left guys like Darrin Reaves and Fozzy Whittaker to carry the load for the Panthers, and it hasn't worked out so well. Cam Newton currently leads the team with 31 rushes for 149 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: Stewart has just 88 yards and a touchdown off 29 carries. He doesn’t inspire a whole lot of fantasy confidence and if fantasy owners listened to us, they abandoned Carolina’s running back situation weeks ago. But Stewart has been a productive running back in the past and the Packers are the worst team in the league at stopping the run (154.5 rushing yards allowed per game on average), so his value is starting to be re-established.
