New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell says replacing wide receiver Victor Cruz will be a "team effort," according to Matt Lombardo of NJ.com. It's worth noting, however, that Donnell will be one of the players counted on to step in and fill the void. Donnell has given the Giants a weapon at the tight end position, which is significant since Eli Manning hasn't had much to work with there over the past few years.
Larry Donnell has plenty of fantasy value in the wake of Victor Cruz’s injury
Larry Donnell has struggled recently, but he’s going to be a strong part of New York’s offense with Victor Cruz out. We break down the fantasy implications.

Over the first four games of the season, Donnell had 236 yards and four touchdowns, but he's been the target of opposing game plans in the past two games and hasn't been able to do much. Donnell was held without a catch against the Atlanta Falcons and then caught just one of the two passes thrown his way for 6 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy Impact: Despite his recent struggles, the Giants will be looking for Donnell more and more with Cruz out. It will certainly be a team effort with Reuben Randle trying to continue his strong play and rookie Odell Beckham stepping into a starting role. But Donnell is a borderline must-start going forward, especially against the Dallas Cowboys, who aren't strong against tight ends.
