New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton said the team is "still optimistic" on tight end Jimmy Graham playing in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions. He's likely going to be a game-time decision for the road contest.
Jimmy Graham’s fantasy status remains up in the air despite Saints’ optimism
The Saints said Jimmy Graham could play in Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

Graham was limited in practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session. He has been out since suffering a shoulder sprain in Week 5, but the Week 6 bye came at the right time. The initial prognosis was that he would miss 2-3 weeks, so he’s probably a little closer to doubtful.
He hasn’t been the unstoppable Jimmy Graham even before the injury and has just three touchdowns to go with 34 receptions and 376 receiving yards.
Fantasy impact: The good news is that the Saints have an early game, so fantasy owners can wait it out and make a decision. If he’s active you have to start him, but every owner should have a backup plan at the ready. If he’s out, Josh Hill serves as a TE2 while every other Saints receiver gets a bump in fantasy value.
