Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins seems pretty excited that Kyle Orton is taking over for EJ Manuel at the quarterback position. Watkins says that Orton "reads it quicker," and that "the ball is coming out faster," according to Mike Rodak of ESPN. On top of that, he says that Orton "demands what he wants out of us," which Manuel, still a young player, presumably wasn't able to do.
Sammy Watkins excited for Kyle Orton; fantasy value may go up
Sammy Watkins thinks Kyle Orton is going to give him a better chance at producing big yardage. We break down the fantasy implications.

Manuel has struggled big time this season. He’s completed just 58 percent of his passes and has thrown for 838 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions. The Bills are simply ineffective on offense with him under center, and they’ve lost the past two games despite somewhat poor games from their opponents. Watkins, a first-round pick, has had one big game with Manuel at quarterback, but the other three have been lackluster.
Fantasy Impact: Orton doesn’t exactly inspire a whole lot of confidence from a fantasy football perspective, but the Bills’ receivers seem to like him and he does seem to provide more scoring potential at the very least. Watkins caught eight passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 with Manuel throwing the ball, but since then has not gone past 31 yards in any given game. He should benefit from Orton taking over, though it’s hard to recommend Orton get a starting nod for fantasy owners without seeing him.
