The Oakland Raiders placed Rod Streater on injured reserve/designated to return on Thursday. He will attempt to resume practicing in six weeks after his foot surgery.
Andre Holmes and James Jones gain fantasy value with Rod Streater surgery
Rod Streater had surgery and will be out for a while. We break down the fantasy implications.

Streater had screws in his left foot, and the soonest he can return would be Week 10, which is optimistic at best. While he is out of the lineup, James Jones should be very busy as the X receiver on the outside while Andre Holmes is going to get plenty of snaps on the other side.
Holmes caught a touchdown last week and has proven to be quite an athletic talent. He lost ground in the preseason, but now he’s in line for a regular role.
Fantasy impact: Obviously, Streater can be dropped everywhere. Jones is a solid player to own despite how quarterback Derek Carr (leg) is also hurt. Holmes serves as a WR4 with a decent ceiling for his ability to stretch the field. Oakland is on a bye this week, which will help Holmes get on the same page quicker than usual. Jones is a must-own player.
