Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington does not care about your fantasy teams. The prolific second-year running back managed to put up 88 yards on 24 carries against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, but he didn't manage to find the end zone. He certainly had his opportunities, but Ellington forfeited those opportunities to fellow running back Stepfan Taylor, according to Darren Urban of the team website.
Andre Ellington gives Stepfan Taylor chance for TD, crushing fantasy hearts everywhere
Andre Ellington willingly gave up goal line touches to fellow back Stepfan Taylor. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ellington said that Taylor “deserved” to get the goal line touches, and he used them to put up a pair of touchdowns, one on the ground and one in the passing game. That’s got to be one of the most frustrating things any fantasy owner can hear. That said, it’s probably a little overblown, as Taylor is more of a power back than Ellington and does make sense in those situations. It’s still bad for fantasy owners, though -- they just have less to be enraged about in this case.
As if there’s anything that can be said to quiet the rage of a fantasy football player on a Monday.
Fantasy Impact: Ellington has 393 yards and a touchdown on the ground, and 260 yards and a touchdown through the air. As noted, the touchdown numbers are slightly disappointing and it’s hard to imagine they’ll improve too much. But even outside of that, Ellington remains one of the best fantasy running backs out there and fantasy owners should stick to their guns.
