Fantasy football projections, Week 5: Rams-Eagles featuring Brian Quick, Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy
We break down the Week 5 matchup between the St. Louis Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles.

St. Louis Rams
It's been officially announced that rookie quarterback Austin Davis will be the Rams' starter for the remainder of the season. While he is not expected to be picked up in too many fantasy leagues, he is a better bet to get the ball to wide receiver Brian Quick than Shaun Hill would have been. Quick is the lone fantasy star on the Rams' roster this year. While he only had two catches in Week 3, one of them was for his first touchdown of the season. The Philadelphia Eagles give up the third most fantasy points in the league to pass catchers, so Quick could be a smart start against them.
When the Rams do run the ball it will be in the hands of running back Zac Stacy. While he proved to be explosive last year, this season has been somewhat of a different story. Stacy has averaged just over 60 yards rushing per game and he’ll be up against an Eagles run defense that is fairly good. Fantasy owners may want to start somebody else this week, unless they have no other choice. Stacy has a little bit more value in PPR leagues as he can catch passes out of the backfield.
Philadelphia Eagles
In the first half of last week's game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Eagles looked to be coasting on the strength of excellent defense and special teams play. However, the 49ers were able to make a comeback in the second half and steal the victory. Running back LeSean McCoy has been struggling all season thanks to a depleted offensive line. That said, he will have starting left tackle Lane Johnson back in the lineup against the Rams, which should help Shady find some holes. The Rams have one of the worst run defenses in the league so this week might be McCoy's time to shine.
If he still struggles to find room in the running game, quarterback Nick Foles won't hesitate to look for Jeremy Maclin through the air. Maclin had his string of three straight games with a touchdown halted last week. That said, he is by far the team's best receiver, totaling an impressive 46 targets through four games. While he only caught four out of 15 targets last week, if he gets that number of looks this week, fantasy owners can bet on a big day from Maclin.
