San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is officially listed as questionable for Week 5. Davis is dealing with a back injury and seems unlikely to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Davis missed practice throughout the week and also missed the team's Week 3 game against the Arizona Cardinals due to injury. He was questionable for Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but he played.
Vernon Davis injury update: 49ers TE questionable; fantasy value iffy
Vernon Davis is questionable for Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs. We break down the fantasy implications.

Davis didn’t play particularly well against the Eagles, catching just two passes for 8 yards, and he saw only three passes thrown his way. Davis was clearly not at 100 percent for the game, and certainly wouldn’t be for this one even if he were to play. At this point, it doesn’t seem likely that he’ll be active against the Chiefs.
Fantasy Impact: Davis has a lot of fantasy potential every time he's on the field, but there's a solid chance he won't be on said field this week. His backups, Vance McDonald and Derek Carrier, don't offer a whole lot of fantasy value in his potential absence, unfortunately. There's a chance Davis can play, but if he does, he might see limited targets and catches as he did in Week 4.
