Johnson has been dealing with an ankle injury that limited him to a decoy role versus the New York Jets in Week 4's matchup, which cleared the way for other receiving options like Golden Tate. This week, Johnson missed all but one day of practice, getting a limited session in on Friday. Though that normally doesn't bode well for a player's Sunday availability, Johnson is tentatively expected to suit up.
Fantasy Spin: Owners will have to wait until Sunday to set their lineups, but fortunately, the Lions have a 1 p.m. ET game. The early start lets owners make a decision with their usual options at their disposal, and Johnson should still be considered even if he’s on a snap count. Since he has already proven that he can put up huge numbers when he’s been limited in the past, Johnson has to be considered a boom-or-bust WR1 for Week 5.
