Niles Paul injury update: Washington TE passes concussion protocol, presents fantasy value for Week 5
Washington won’t be completely empty-handed at tight end for Monday night’s bout with the Seattle Seahawks. We break down the fantasy implications.

Paul exited Week 4's contest versus the New York Giants and did not return after sustaining a scary blow to the head. Fortunately, with 11 days between games, Paul has had extra time to recover and passed the NFL's concussion protocol. Paul practiced at a limited basis on Thursday and got a full session in on Friday.
Fantasy Spin: Paul has put up fine numbers in relief of incumbent starter Jordan Reed, and if there's success to be had versus the stout Seahawks defense, it's been coming from the tight end position. Teams have been much more comfortable taking their chances between the hash marks than challenging the likes of Richard Sherman and Byron Maxwell on the outside.
Even if Reed suits up on Monday, and it’s no better than a 50/50 shot that he does, Paul remains a fringe TE1/TE2 who could be peppered with targets.
