Washington tight end Jordan Reed is 50/50 at best to play on Monday night versus the Seattle Seahawks, according to beat writer John Keim.
Jordan Reed injury update: Washington TE nearing return, but fantasy owners must wait
Washington will likely have to look toward Niles Paul at tight end instead of Jordan Reed again this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Reed has been sidelined since taking an awkward hit to his leg in Week 1 versus the Houston Texans, allowing backup Niles Paul to be Jay Gruden's movable chess piece in the meantime. It appears Paul will remain in the lineup despite an injury of his own, and despite Reed practicing at a limited basis both Thursday and Friday.
Fantasy Spin: Reed remains a hold in redraft formats, but this just isn’t the week owners can reinsert him into lineups. Even if he were to suit up and play, it’s hard to imagine him at anything but a limited basis. Versus a punishing Seahawks defense, there just isn’t a high enough ceiling or floor to warrant starting a less-than-100-percent tight end that won’t see enough of the field.
With Washington having a late game, fantasy owners would put themselves in a bind waiting for inactives to surface. The more likely scenario is that Reed will returns to action Week 6 versus the Arizona Cardinals.
