Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall is active against the Carolina Panthers in Week 5. He has been bothered by an ankle injury all season and it may affect his production on Sunday.
Brandon Marshall is active and should be in all fantasy lineups
Brandon Marshall is active against the Panthers. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Bears line him up all over the field and the snaps in the slot explain why he’s routinely around 100 catches per season with quarterback Jay Cutler. Marshall hasn’t caught any big plays this season and has zero catches over 20 yards. That probably has something to do with his ankle, which will make it tougher to play in the slot with the extra cuts he’ll need to make to get open.
As for the matchup, the Panthers are reeling right now. They have given up at least 37 points in back-to-back games. Those blowouts were also to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, so it's not like they went up against Peyton Manning or another high-powered offense.
Fantasy impact: The weather is nice and he looked great in warmups, according to NFL Network’s broadcast. Marshall should be in all lineups as a very strong WR2 this week.
