San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers dominated the New York Jets during a 31-0 victory in Week 5 on Sunday, completing 20 of his 28 attempts for 288 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
The beat goes on for fantasy stud Philip Rivers
Rivers continued his MVP-caliber season. We break down the fantasy implications.

For the fourth week in a row, Rivers has posted a multiple-touchdown game with a passer rating of at least 124. This week, he had a season-high 10.3 yards-per-attempt average and he connected with eight different receivers. The Chargers have a four-game winning streak and are tied for the best record in the league. Rivers is a legitimate MVP candidate and is on pace for career-highs in just about every major passing category.
Fantasy impact: He's a QB1 in fantasy leagues right now. Rivers gets the Oakland Raiders at home in Week 6 and will likely boost his fantasy value in that game, as well. The consistency is a big bonus and his owners shouldn't be looking to sell high.
