San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree played in just 59.1 percent of offensive snaps against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Crabtree is dealing with a foot injury to the same area that has been surgically repaired multiple times. The 49ers have downplayed the injury significantly, but Crabtree saw just four targets and caught one pass for 16 yards on Sunday.
Michael Crabtree plays in just 59.1 percent of offensive snaps, is an iffy fantasy option
The San Francisco 49ers limited Michael Crabtree’s playing time in Week 5, possibly due to a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

That was his worst output all season, and his worst since the 2011 postseason. Crabtree is second on the 49ers in receiving yardage, with 25 receptions for 246 yards and two touchdowns. San Francisco is doing a lot of experimenting with its passing offense, working in Stevie Johnson and Brandon Lloyd when possible, so that could have had something to do with Crabtree playing less. But under 60 percent isn't nearly enough playing time for a player of his caliber.
Fantasy Impact: At this point, the 49ers have a couple solid fantasy options at the wide receiver position. All of them are already snatched up in fantasy leagues, though. Fantasy owners should pay attention to the injury report this week to see if Crabtree appears on it or if he misses any practice time.
