New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings says he "definitely" doesn't need surgery and that an MRI on his left knee indicated that it will heal on its own, according to Kimberly Jones of the NFL Network. Jennings appears to have avoided a significant injury, but if reports of a sprain are true (and given his cast) his status for Week 6 has to be in question for now.
Rashad Jennings ‘definitely’ doesn’t need surgery; fantasy status still iffy
Rashad Jennings says that he doesn’t need surgery on his injured left knee. We break down the fantasy implications.

Of course, that could all change once it’s time to practice and we start getting participation reports. If Jennings ends up being even a limited participant at some time this week, it would be surprising, but it would also mean the chances of him missing time have decreased. Whatever the case, we won’t know more until the team makes something official.
Fantasy Impact: Jennings has been solid thus far, carrying the ball 91 times for 396 yards and two touchdowns. He hasn't been excellent in fantasy, but his potential loss definitely hurts fantasy owners. That said, Andre Williams is a solid handcuff option and has ran well this season with 54 carries for 170 yards and two touchdowns. If Jennings has to miss some time, Williams is the guy to start.
