Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer attempted to throw on Tuesday, but it's unclear how things went. Head coach Bruce Arians said on Tuesday that Palmer could practice on Thursday or Friday, as reported by SiriusXM NFL Radio, and that would be a big change from last week. Palmer attempted to throw on Tuesday of last week as well, and suffered a setback with his shoulder injury.
Carson Palmer throws Tuesday, could practice soon; fantasy value still low
Carson Palmer attempted to throw on Tuesday, and could practice on Thursday or Friday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The pain in his shoulder comes from a nerve injury and it’s nearly impossible to tell when that’s going to be sufficiently healed enough for Palmer to practice and play. Said injury is not only painful, it also diminishes Palmer’s throwing strength a great deal. The thought is that even when he does come back, he won’t be at 100 percent. Whatever the case, there’s no word yet on how Tuesday went or if he’s an option to play against Washington in Week 6.
Fantasy Impact: Palmer has missed the past three games with the injury, but the Cardinals have went 2-1 in that span. Offensively, they're not playing great football or anything, as they throw for 217.0 yards per game on average, 22nd in the league. Arizona is well off at 3-1 on the season, but the Denver Broncos dominated the Cardinals in Week 5. Palmer has had four weeks off due to the injury, as the team already had its bye week. Fantasy owners would prefer him to his replacements, but nothing concrete will be known until Friday at the earliest.
