Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was limited in practice on Wednesday. Patterson was forced out of last week's game with a hip injury, but the extra rest means he won't be missing any practice time. He should be ready for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Cordarrelle Patterson limited in practice, fantasy value holds steady
The Minnesota wide receiver is listed with a hip injury in practice. We break down the fantasy implications.

Patterson has been quiet since his explosive Week 1 performance against the St. Louis Rams. In five games, he has just 284 total yards and a touchdown on 19 touches, adding 336 yards on kick returns. Patterson had his worst game yet against the Green Bay Packers last Thursday, being held to eight yards on two rushing attempts before leaving with the injury.
Fantasy impact: Patterson's fantasy appeal lies in the fact that he can break the game open on any given touch, but he hasn't had any real impact plays outside of the season opener. Thus, he's been a middling WR4 and not worth the upper mid-round pick many owners spent on him. His arrow is ticking up with Teddy Bridgewater under center, but Patterson can't be trusted as a fantasy starter until the Vikings commit to getting him more involved in the offense.
