Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was held out of practice for the second day in a row Thursday. He is dealing with a high ankle sprain and is unlikely to be ready for the game Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
Calvin Johnson misses practice Thursday, Week 6 fantasy status looking grim
Calvin Johnson missed another practice on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson has been playing through the injury for two weeks now, although he was limited to a decoy role both times. He aggravated the ankle in Detroit's Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills, and head coach Jim Caldwell is "strongly" thinking about holding him out this week. Johnson has 22 catches for 348 yards and two touchdowns in five games this season.
Fantasy impact: Unless something changes on Friday, owners shouldn't count on having Megatron this week. His loss would elevate Golden Tate to the No. 1 role in Detroit. Tate has thrived while Johnson has been hobbled, racking up 15 catches for 250 yards and a touchdown in the past two weeks. He's a safe WR3 play against a Vikings defense that could be without Harrison Smith.
