San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis (back) went through practice on Thursday in a non-contact jersey. He is likely to be listed as questionable for the divisional Monday night matchup against the St. Louis Rams.
Vernon Davis could be back for fantasy owners on Monday night
Vernon Davis could be ready to go on Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Davis suffered a scary back injury in Week 4 and did not play in Week 5. He has struggled to stay on the field and had an ankle injury earlier in the season, but it appears he’ll be back for Week 6. He scored a touchdown in both games against the Rams last season and has fared well against them throughout his career.
The Niners were able to get some nice production out of Brandon Lloyd to help offset the loss of Davis and do have good depth at receiver. Plus, running back Frank Gore has been over 100 rushing yards in each of the last two games.
Fantasy impact: It's never easy to play a questionable player on Monday night, especially a tight end. Unless St. Louis tight end Jared Cook is available on waivers and you can use him as a backup plan, it might make more sense to go another route. Of course, that could all change if Vernon puts in a full practice before Sunday.
