Sunday was Walker’s second-worst game of the season, as he went for only 37 yards on three catches. It was Walker’s third game this season with exactly 37 receiving yards, but Sunday was his first of those without a touchdown. Walker had 317 yards and three scores in his early-season hot streak, but has only 195 and a single touchdown in the five games since.
Fantasy impact: In Walker’s defense, his production Sunday came in a small portion of the game, as he left with a concussion after a big hit. Still, his numbers had fallen off a fair amount even before the injury, so it’s hard to give him positive credit in terms of fantasy.
Walker started the season in low-range TE2 territory, but his strong performance to start the season shot him up the rankings. His struggles since, though, are putting him right back where he started. With the bye weeks winding down, Walker will find himself outside starting territory, even before you consider his questionable prognosis as he works his way back from the concussion. If you need a roster spot and are safe at tight end, he can be dropped.
