Fred Jackson made his return from injury Sunday, but the Bills didn't push their veteran running back, instead letting backups Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon carry the load. Brown took advantage of the increased usage to the tune of 100 total yards in Buffalo's 17-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 11: Bryce Brown reaches 100 yards
With Fred Jackson at less than full strength, Buffalo leaned on its backup running backs Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Brown, who entered Sunday with 15 total yards on the season, had 35 rushing yards on seven carries, and added 65 more yards on six catches. He did lose a fumble in the game, which has been one of the problems in Brown's game since his days with the Philadelphia Eagles. Dixon was the Bills' leading rusher in the game with nine carries for 62 yards.
Fantasy impact: The Bills were pretty clearly reluctant to push Jackson too hard in his first game back from injury, which led to higher-than-normal workloads for Dixon and Brown. With another week to get healthier, Jackson is likely to be much more capable of carrying the full load going forward, which will keep the value of both Brown and Dixon in check.
Jackson owners would do well to handcuff the oft-injured starter, and that handcuff is likely to be Brown, as he’s simply a better runner than Dixon, but otherwise neither back is worth investing in.
