Coming off a historic stretch of two games, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger regressed in a big way Sunday. The quarterback kept his passing yardage high, but couldn't get a lot else done in the Steelers' 20-13 upset loss to the New York Jets.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 11: Ben Roethlisberger comes back to Earth
Well, we all knew it couldn’t continue. We break down the fantasy implications.

Roethlisberger completed 30-of-43 passes Sunday for 343 yards and a touchdown, but was also intercepted twice. And his touchdown pass came with the Steelers down 14 points and 1:16 left in the game, basically complete garbage time. After Roethlisberger had 12 touchdown passes and 79 fantasy points in his last two games combined, he managed only 13 fantasy points Sunday.
Fantasy impact: The smart money was always on Roethlisberger’s production falling off big time. He had averaged only 14 fantasy points a game through the first seven weeks before his huge performances in Weeks 8 and 9. That said, the Jets had been a very porous pass defense all season, so there was some reason to think Roethlisberger might continue his dominance Sunday.
That didn’t happen, though, and with the byes winding down and Roethlisberger no longer on his crazy-hot stretch, he’ll be back to a low-end starting quarterback or a high-end QB2 in most rankings.
