Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt says running back Shonn Greene wasn't benched following a fumble Sunday, according to Paul Kuharsky of ESPN. Greene fumbled the ball at the goal-line during a 15-play, 79-yard drive in the first quarter against the Baltimore Ravens. Greene had three carries on the drive, but didn't have one after the fumble.
Ken Whisenhunt says Shonn Greene wasn’t benched; fantasy value still low
Shonn Greene wasn’t benched Sunday, at least according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt. We break down the fantasy implications.

Greene is second on the team with 48 carries for 196 yards and a touchdown. Bishop Sankey is first with 92 carries for 360 yards and a touchdown. Tennessee is 23rd in the league with 97.3 rushing yards per game, so neither is really pulling their weight. Most are of the opinion Sankey needs more carries and will flourish if given them, and that sounds like bad news for Greene.
Fantasy Impact: Greene had some fantasy value coming into the season but he hasn’t been good enough to warrant a start for much of this year. Fantasy owners should be concerned with his lack of carries on Sunday, even if Whisenhunt insists that he wasn’t benched. Sankey is a much better option at this point, and should get the bulk of the carries going forward.
