St. Louis Rams quarterback Austin Davis continues to struggle under center, but the team does not plan on making any changes. Head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed on Monday that Davis will remain the starting quarterback for Week 11 against the Denver Broncos.
Austin Davis remains Rams’ starter, but fantasy value has dried up
The Rams are sticking with Austin Davis despite his horrific showing in Week 10. We break down the fantasy implications.

After a somewhat hot start to the season, Davis has been on a sharp regression. He bottomed out in St. Louis' Week 10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, throwing two interceptions and losing a fumble that was returned for a touchdown. Davis threw for 216 yards on 17-of-30 passing, which was the first time since Week 6 he's eclipsed 200 passing yards.
Fantasy impact: Since Davis replaced Shaun Hill in Week 1, he has been a popular streaming target in daily fantasy leagues, at one point throwing for at least 300 yards and three touchdowns in two straight games. It's been all downhill from there -- in the past three games Davis has tossed five interceptions and just three touchdowns. He should have been dropped from your fantasy lineup about a month ago.
The Rams are 3-6 and just about done in the playoff race, so there's no real upside in turning back to the 34-year-old journeyman Hill. Instead, look for Fisher to keep leaning on the running game and defense to hide Davis in an attempt to keep games competitive. Tre Mason is about the only Ram worth owning in 12-team leagues, and even he's not a guaranteed start against the Broncos' top-ranked run defense. It's a messy situation that fantasy owners should avoid altogether this week.
