Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson will not play against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. He was limited in practice this week and there was some hope that he would be out there, but the short week was just too big of a hurdle for him.
Fred Jackson won’t play on Thursday for fantasy owners; Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon to fill in
Fred Jackson is inactive. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson beat his timetable to return last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he didn't look like himself with just three carries for 10 rushing yards. The Bills will have to lean on running backs Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown.
Despite the added opportunity for Brown and Dixon, the matchup is terrible for the Bills. They are on a short week, are on the road, and are going against the No. 4 defense in the NFL. Plus, Miami has done a very good job in keeping running backs in check.
Fantasy impact: If you're in a PPR league and have multiple backs on byes, Brown can be viewed as a risky flex play. Dixon is not really an option in any league. Jackson should be owned everywhere for Week 12 against the New York Jets -- he's owned them in his career.
