Houston Texans rookie running back Alfred Blue filled in for starter Arian Foster on Sunday, racking up big yardage. Blue had his first career 100-yard game as the Texans beat the Cleveland Browns, 23-7.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 12: Alfred Blue runs wild
The rookie running back and fill-in starter went over 150 yards Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Blue ran the ball 36 times Sunday for 156 yards. He didn’t make it into the end zone, but still, 15 fantasy points marked a career high for Blue. Foster, who was injured in Week 9 before Houston’s Week 10 bye, could be back for Week 12.
Fantasy impact: Blue’s status as a fantasy starter going forward is entirely dependent on Foster’s health. He’s shown enough that, if Foster is out again, Blue needs to be in all starting lineups. If Foster returns, though, the Texans are nowhere near making a switch at running back, and Blue becomes much less helpful.
As for Blue’s ownership, that status has changed. Entering Week 11, Blue looked like an option to be owned only by fantasy players who already had Foster, as a handcuff. But at this point, if a Foster owner hasn’t added Blue, non-Foster owners need to jump on him as well.
