Fantasy football Week 9 projections: Raiders-Seahawks featuring James Jones, Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch
We break down the Week 9 matchup between the Oakland Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks.

Oakland Raiders
All it took was a coaching change and a little while to adjust to a new strategy and all of a sudden running back Darren McFadden is relevant again in fantasy leagues. He was always good at catching passes and in the prime of his career he could put together a lot of yards on the ground, too. These days he no longer has premier potential, but he is still one of the best offensive weapons that the team possesses. He will be busy against the Seahawks on Sunday, especially if the passing game struggles against Richard Sherman and the gang.
In terms of that very passing game, Andre Holmes is definitely a threat down the field, but it's looking like James Jones is the more reliable target for fantasy owners who need steady production. Jones caught six passes on 11 targets last week for 62 yards. He only has a single 100-yard receiving game this season, but he will be counted on to move the chains in Week 9.
Seattle Seahawks
After lighting up the St. Louis Rams in Week 7 with both his passing and rushing ability, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was bottled up by the Carolina Panthers last week. The Raiders likely won't be able to have the same effect on Wilson, so he could be primed and ready for a big bounce back game for his fantasy owners. The Seahawks haven't been nearly as dominant this year as they were last season, so if they are to continue in trying to defend their Super Bowl title successfully, Wilson needs a big second half of the season. This Sunday could be the beginning of that, which means that Wilson should put together a big day against the Raiders.
The fact that he can run and scramble in the pocket may indeed open things up for running back Marshawn Lynch in the contest. Lynch has been the subject of a lot of negative press lately because of his attitude surrounding the direction of the team and the trade of wide receiver Percy Harvin to the New York Jets. Whether that has impacted the running back negatively or not, the bottom line is that Lynch hasn't scored a rushing touchdown or eclipsed 72 yards rushing since Week 3.
