San Diego Chargers running back Donald Brown is officially active in Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. Running back Branden Oliver will still hold the starting position with Brown likely handling some change-of-pace duties. Brown filled in for an injured Ryan Mathews in Week 2 and was mostly ineffective before sustaining an injury in Week 5. Brown has averaged 2.14 yards per carry this season and Oliver is currently the more talented player in the Chargers' backfield.
Fantasy football injury update: Chargers RB Donald Brown is active vs. Dolphins, remains off fantasy radar for Week 9
Donald Browns is active, but Branden Oliver will continue to start for the Chargers. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Brown is owned in less than 10 percent of fantasy leagues, and that number shouldn’t increase unless Oliver sustains an injury on Sunday. Even if Brown sees a handful of meaningful snaps, Ryan Mathews could return any week now. Brown is a RB4 at best, and Oliver owners shouldn’t be concerned with losing production (especially in PPR leagues) outside of the potential for a vultured touchdown from Brown. Oliver is still a low-end RB2 option in Week 9.
