San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers was not pulled from Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins due to any kind of injury, according to the Union-Tribune San Diego. Rivers sustained an injury to his right hand late in the third quarter, but he was pulled because the Chargers were down by multiple touchdowns with little chance of rebounding.
Philip Rivers wasn’t pulled due to injury; fantasy value still solid
Philip Rivers injured his hand in Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, but that’s not why he was pulled from action. We break down the fantasy implications.

In other words, had the game been remotely close, Rivers would have stayed in to try and win it. At this point, there aren’t any concerns about his injury going forward. Obviously, there are some concerns with the team as a whole, though. After going 5-1 to start the season, the Chargers have dropped three consecutive games, including two AFC West rivalry games and the aforementioned 37-0 drubbing at the hands of Miami.
Fantasy Impact: Despite the recent struggles, San Diego still ranks No. 10 in passing offense with 252.0 passing yards per game. Rivers remains one of the top quarterback fantasy options, and owners should not be concerned about this injury even a little bit. The Chargers have a bye in Week 10 before Rivers will get an opportunity against the winless Oakland Raiders in his return.
