Welker left the game after taking a massive shot to the back from a Patriots defender while attempting to make a catch. He finished the game with three catches for 31 yards, his highest yardage total since Week 7. Welker has had a disappointing season so far, catching just 22 passes for 212 yards and a touchdown in six games.
Fantasy impact: We should know more about Welker’s Week 10 status when the Broncos return to practice on Wednesday, but at this point you really shouldn’t be starting him in 12-team leagues. The former PPR monster hasn’t had more than three catches since Week 5 and is clearly not a big part of the offense after the emergence of Emmanuel Sanders. It’s fair to wonder if the 33-year-old has reached the beginning of the end.
