Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson is practicing with the team on Thursday, according to Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550. Jackson is dealing with a groin injury he sustained against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7. That injury kept him out of Buffalo's last game, a 43-23 victory over the New York Jets in Week 8. Fortunately, the Bills had a bye in Week 9 and Jackson has missed only the one game thus far.
Fred Jackson practices Thursday, seems likely to play for fantasy owners
Fred Jackson practiced with the team on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson also practiced on Wednesday and now seems likely to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Jackson is second on the team with 55 carries for 239 yards and a touchdown, behind C.J. Spiller, who is injured. Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown have been carrying the load with Jackson and Spiller hurt, but it hasn't amounted to much running success for the Bills.
Fantasy Impact: If Jackson is coming back, he’ll be the unquestioned starter. He’s averaging 4.3 yards per carry and has a lot more upside than Dixon and Brown. Fantasy owners should wait and see what happens on Friday, but Jackson is a solid starting candidate against a Chiefs run defense that allows 116.1 rushing yards per game on average.
