49ers-Saints fantasy projections: Colin Kaepernick, Drew Brees, Mark Ingram among names to watch
We break down the Week 10 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints.

San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers have struggled to produce offensively in each of the last two games and quarterback Colin Kaepernick is one of the reasons for that. After throwing six touchdowns over the span of three games, Kaepernick has just two in the last two weeks. Fantasy owners might have thought he could have dominated the St. Louis Rams last week, or found himself in a shootout against the Denver Broncos prior to the team's Week 8 bye, but neither scenario came to fruition. Instead, Kaepernick found himself bottled up, much to the chagrin of his fantasy owners.
One 49er that did turn in a solid performance last week was wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who has thoroughly enjoyed feasting on the Rams throughout his career. He caught six passes for 93 yards and a touchdown in the game, scoring just his second TD of the season. Boldin will face a Saints' pass defense that has no problem giving up points to receivers, so the veteran pass catcher has a shot to score in back-to-back games for his fantasy owners in Week 10.
New Orleans Saints
Although he finished three passing yards shy of 300 yards passing against the Carolina Panthers in Week 9, quarterback Drew Brees has now thrown for at least 293 yards in all but one game this year. By his standards, that's a mediocre output, which of course is music to the ears of his fantasy owners going into Week 10. The 49ers do have a good secondary unit that has recovered from various injuries, but Brees is usually money in the bank at home and should post his high volume numbers and throw in a couple of touchdowns this week.
One man that could stop Brees from throwing touchdowns in bunches on Sunday is his own teammate, running back Mark Ingram. That's because Ingram has 272 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the last two weeks, meaning the Saints have a serious running game for the first time in a few years. Ingram has 54 carries in those back-to-back outings, so if he continues to get the ball lots in Week 10, fantasy owners will be happy with the stat line they see next to his name.
