Cleveland Browns running back Terrance West had a particularly bad fumble in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills. The fumble came in the third quarter when the Browns were down, 7-3, and it resulted in a Buffalo touchdown after Jerry Hughes scooped it up for the Bills. West came under fire from head coach Mike Pettine following the game as well, according to The Chronicle-Telegram.
Mike Pettine calls Terrance West fumble ‘inexcusable,’ fantasy value declining for the RB
Terrance West’s fumble on Sunday has likely cost him any and all fantasy value. We break down the fantasy implications.

Pettine said that West's fumble was "inexcusable," and then proceeded to say that it "changed the whole flow of the game," literally putting the loss on the running back's shoulders. You rarely hear a head coach come out and spell something like that out in black and white but there it is. It's hard to imagine West will get too many carries going forward, meaning Isaiah Crowell is the unquestioned feature back.
Fantasy Impact: West has 133 carries for 502 yards and three touchdowns on the season, while Crowell has 107 carries for 475 yards and seven touchdowns. Crowell has been running much better of late and has a per-carry average of 4.4 yards. He’ll be the only fantasy option for Browns running backs going forward.
