Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter is in a Houston hospital being treated for a lacerated spleen, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. Hunter could remain in the hospital for "a few days," according to Wyatt. It's a bad situation all around, and Hunter surely isn't thinking about whether he'll be able to return to the field sooner rather than later.

Justin Hunter could remain in the hospital for “a few days.” We break down the fantasy implications.

At this point, the Titans have to be thinking about injured reserve given that Hunter has struggled this year and the uncertainty going forward. Hunter, a second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, has just 28 receptions for 498 yards and three touchdowns on the season. He’s received a steady amount of playing time, but like the rest of the Titans offense, he hasn’t been producing.
Fantasy Impact: It’s impossible to tell what’s going on with Hunter at this point. Right now, he’s in the hospital and a recovery is all that matters. He shouldn’t be considered a fantasy option going forward with so little time left in the season, regardless.
