A week after his best fantasy day of the season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin returned to his lows Sunday, and rookie position-mate Charles Sims joined him. The two combined for 18 rushing yards on 10 carries in the Buccaneers' 34-17 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 15: Doug Martin, Charles Sims struggle
That was two fantasy points apiece for the Tampa Bay running backs. We break down the fantasy implications.

Martin was the far more productive runner of the two, as he ran the ball five times for 22 yards. Sims, meanwhile, also got five carries, but only managed negative-4 yards on that work. Both running backs caught a single pass; Martin’s was for no yards, but Sims’ went for 24.
Fantasy impact: With Bobby Rainey out for this game, these two running backs shared the work, but against a strong Detroit defense, there wasn’t a lot of reason to expect much out of them, and they lived down to those expectations.
Going forward, no running back on the Tampa Bay roster is worth any fantasy consideration; the three guys have combined for five games of 10 or more fantasy points, and three of those five went to Rainey, who has fallen to the bottom of the team’s depth chart. Drop ‘em if you got ‘em.
