Miami Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno (knee) is expected to dress and play on Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Armando Salguero. Moreno is in his first season with the team after spending the first five years of his career with the Denver Broncos.
Knowshon Moreno set to play Saturday, likely to share carries and fantasy production
The Dolphins’ newest addition to the backfield has been hampered by a knee injury but is expected to play on Saturday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Moreno has had his share of chances to lock down a No. 1 running back spot in the NFL during his time in the league, but inconsistency and injuries have plagued his career. Although he is getting a fresh start with a new team in 2014, it seems he'll primarily be used as a pass protector and change-of-pace rusher behind Lamar Miller in Miami.
Moreno may prove valuable is Miller suffers an injury or struggles early in the year, but going into Week 1 it looks like the Dolphins are content with using a committee in the backfield. That likelihood really hampers Moreno’s fantasy value, besides being an occasional fill-in, at this time.
Fantasy owners should consider Moreno as no more than a flex or backup running back option going into draft day, though things could certainly change as the season progresses.
