Michael Crabtree led the San Francisco 49ers with seven receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown on Sunday night against the Chicago Bears. He was targeted a team-high nine teams by Colin Kaepernick.
Michael Crabtree bounces back for big fantasy game
After catching just two passes in Week 1, Crabtree finished Sunday night as the 49ers leading receiver. We break down the fantasy implications.

That start of the year was a bit disappointing for Crabtree, as he caught just two passes for 25 yards in Week 1. A bounce-back game was expected, though, and he did not disappoint on Sunday night.
Fantasy impact: The Bears made a huge comeback to overshadow every storyline from the game, but owners should be impressed by Crabtree’s numbers. He may end up being a hit-or-miss WR2 throughout 2014, but he’s clearly a favorite target for Kaepernick.
Vernon Davis injured his ankle at the end of the game. If he is forced to miss time going forward, Crabtree’s role becomes of even more value to an offense that needs him to be a playmaker. Crabtree gets the Arizona Cardinals next week. He has scored just over 20 fantasy points per game in his last three matchups with them.
