Matt Forte struggled in Week 2 against the San Francisco 49ers, rushing for 21 yards on 12 carries Sunday night. He also caught five passes for 15 yards on eight targets.
Matt Forte fails to show up for fantasy owners in Week 2
Forte and the Bears offense struggled leading up to the fourth quarter. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Bears offense was not moving well until the fourth quarter, and the 49ers managed to keep Forte in check for the entire night. It was a huge regression from his stats in Week 1.
Fantasy impact: Forte does not post numbers like this often, so fantasy owners shouldn't be worried about the stud's failure to make an impact. Jay Cutler could not get anything going in the passing game in the first half. The 49ers were able to hone in on the healthy Forte, with Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery playing less than 100 percent.
The Bears face the New York Jets in Week 3. The Jets are strong in defending the run, but Forte is obviously a must-start in any game. His receiving numbers will certainly improve. Target Forte as a buy-low trade candidate.
