Fantasy Impact: A highly talented rookie wide receiver on a run-heavy offense with an undeveloped quarterback is a recipe for fantasy inconsistency. This applies as much to Watkins as it does to any other rookie receiver -- Watkins provided owners with a gem 8/117/1 line in Week 2, but it was sandwiched between 3/31/0 and 2/19/0 lines in Weeks 1 and 3 respectively. The good news for fantasy owners is that talent certainly isn’t an issue here and Watkins is the Bills receiver to own if you can only pick one.
The Bills are taking on a Texans defense that has struggled against the run this year. Owners should expect to see a healthy dose of running backs C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson, which puts a damper on the Week 2 ceiling for Watkins. He's a boom-or-bust WR3/flex play.
