Thursday night’s NFL season opener was a rough contest for the entire Packers roster, including star running back Eddie Lacy. While Lacy provided a few bright spots on offense for Green Bay, he struggled for the most part to find room to run and finished his night with 34 yards on 12 carries.
Eddie Lacy suffers concussion in tough fantasy opener against Seahawks
Despite several impressive runs, Eddie Lacy couldn’t get much going against the league’s top defense.

Lacy also left the game early with a concussion. This marks his second since entering the NFL last season.
Fantasy impact: Owners likely anticipated a letdown in Week 1 from Lacy since playing the Seahawks defense is no easy task. The second-year back broke multiple tackles while he was in the game, but you don’t get fantasy points for providing entertainment to the fans, unfortunately.
Owners should closely monitor Lacy’s status going forward. Suffering two concussions within a full season plus one game to start a second year is not a great sign for any player. James Starks rushed for 37 yards on seven carries against the Seahawks, managing to make the most of his limited reps. He becomes a RB2 if Lacy misses time.
