Russell Wilson completed 19-of-28 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers on Thursday night. Wilson also added in seven carries for 29 yards.
Russell Wilson starts 2014 with better fantasy performance than Aaron Rodgers
The Seahawks were in control of the season opener the entire way, and Russell Wilson picked up right where he left off from 2013.

While Wilson didn’t commit any turnovers, he threw a couple passes that certainly should have been picked off. Still, it was another solid night for the reigning Super Bowl champion quarterback.
Fantasy Football
Fantasy impact: It wasn’t the performance of his career, but Wilson did enough to grab a few points for fantasy owners while Seattle was on its way to another dominant win. Wilson outscored Rodgers by nine points in standard scoring leagues.
The main concern right now for Wilson is his defense. The Seahawks just shut down one of the best offenses in the NFL. At this rate, they won’t need Wilson to air it out often. They can simply ride Marshawn Lynch to run the clock down once they’ve built a sizeable lead. There likely aren’t many teams that will put Wilson in a shootout this season.
