New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee) is expected to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1, according to Ian Rapoport. The report goes on to say that his snaps may be limited throughout the course of the game. Update: It's also worth noting that Gronkowski traveled with the team to Miami, according to the Boston Herald.
Rob Gronkowski expected to play Sunday, fantasy production may be limited
The Pats’ best option in the passing game will be ready to play Week 1 against Miami despite a knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: No one can deny that when Gronk is in the lineup and healthy, he’s one of the best pass catchers in the game of football. Unfortunately, he’s only managed to play a full 16-game season once in his four years in the league.
The fact that he’ll play on Sunday is definitely good news, but limited snaps means a cap on his potential ceiling for Week 1. That will be especially true if the Pats find themselves up by a large margin in the game.
Given Gronk’s track record health wise, it’s likely fantasy owners drafted him accordingly. That said, any owners who drafted a backup as an insurance policy to Gronkowski may have to go with that option sooner than they hoped to.
