New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (calf) is officially questionable but is in no danger of missing any time in the team's Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins. He sat out from practice on Thursday and was limited on Friday but the Patriots were likely just being cautious with their 37-year-old veteran.
Tom Brady injury update: QB questionable, will be available for fantasy owners
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is listed as questionable but is fully expected to start in Week 1. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Brady remains one of the most decorated active NFL quarterbacks. However, he’s reached the point in his career where his value to the Patriots exceeds his value to fantasy owners. Over the last three seasons, we’ve seen Brady’s core stats significantly decrease. Let’s take a quick look (in 2011/12/13 format). Yards: 5,235/4,827/4,343. Touchdowns: 39/34/25. Completion percentage: 65.6/63.0/60.5. 300-yard games: 11/8/6. You don’t have to be Nate Silver to spot the obvious downward trend.
While Brady will likely have tight end Rob Gronkowski and oft-injured wide receiver Danny Amendola back in the mix, there isn't a prevailing reason to expect the statistical trend to completely reverse this season. Miami's defense doesn't pose an overwhelming threat, but Brady's name is now bigger than his game solely with respect to fantasy football numbers. He's a low-end QB1 at best.
