Matt Ryan had a career day against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1, completing 31 of 43 passes for 448 yards and three touchdowns in the Atlanta Falcons' 34-31 win. He spread the ball around to nine targets throughout the afternoon and helped lead Atlanta to a game-winning drive in overtime.
Matt Ryan leads quarterbacks in fantasy points for Week 1
The opening week of 2014 could not have gone better for Matt Ryan’s owners.

Ryan benefited from an improved offensive line from what he was used to seeing in 2013. He was only sacked once during the course of the game. Ryan also did not commit a single turnover.
Fantasy impact: Most owners likely grabbed Ryan later on in their drafts -- his ADP hovered around the seventh round. That looks like a great value pick right now after Ryan led quarterbacks in scoring on Sunday.
With Julio Jones and Roddy White healthy again, Ryan encountered few issues moving the ball on New Orleans as the game progressed. He also kept Harry Douglas and Devin Hester involved often in the passing game, and he received some help on a 54-yard touchdown from Antone Smith. Ryan won't be throwing for 400-plus yards every week, but he's a lock to finish in the top 10 at his position with the amount of passing he'll be doing.
