New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 29-of-42 passes for 333 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1. His lone score came on a quick 3-yard pass to rookie Brandin Cooks with just seconds to play at the end of the second quarter.
Drew Brees tops 300 yards in first fantasy showing of 2014
Brees looked sharp in the early going in Week 1, but the Saints run game did all the scoring in the second half.

Brees was less efficient in the second half as the Falcons stepped up their defensive efforts, but he was still able to move the ball down the field on several drives, leading to two rushing touchdowns from Mark Ingram.
Fantasy impact: It wasn’t the best outing from Brees -- owners who drafted him early expect at least a couple touchdowns every game. Brees started out hot and looked like he would surely score several times against the Atlanta defense.
The Saints take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 2, a team that gave up 365 passing yards to Ben Roethlisberger in Week 1. Expect better fantasy numbers from one of the league's top quarterbacks.
