Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant caught four passes for 55 yards on six targets in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. He briefly left the field in the first half after taking a huge hit to the back in midair, and he was forced to miss snaps in the second half after dealing with dehydration issues.
Dez Bryant puts up lackluster fantasy numbers in Week 1
It was a rough week for one of the league’s top receivers and his offense in general.

The Cowboys offense struggled to get anything going against the 49ers, but Bryant's status seemed to hinder progress even more at times. He was back in the game at the end of the fourth quarter, so he doesn't appear to be dealing with anything that will be worrisome long-term.
Fantasy impact: For a player that many analysts were projecting to finish as the No. 1 wide receiver in 2014, this wasn't the way you wanted to see him start the year. Bryant was targeted on one deep ball that was intercepted while he was in double coverage. He and Tony Romo never seemed to click.
We’ll hope the dehydration is addressed prior to Week 2. Bryant is always locked in as a WR1. Expect greater numbers next weekend.
