Montee Ball led the Denver Broncos rushing attack on Sunday night with 23 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts to start the season. He also added two receptions for 16 yards.
Montee Ball salvages fantasy debut with late touchdown
It was a relatively average day for the Broncos lead running back until he found his way into the end zone in the fourth quarter.

Ball averaged just 2.9 yards per carry throughout the night. His best highlight came on a 3-yard touchdown dive in the fourth quarter. Ball initially appeared to be stopped at the line but kept with it to bounce out wide for the score.
Fantasy impact: Knowshon Moreno went off for the Miami Dolphins in his debut with his new team. Ball didn't have quite the same success to start the year, but a touchdown and 60-plus yards isn't a bad day on the ground for any fantasy league.
The best news from the night was that second-string running back C.J. Anderson only took four carries. Ball is locked in as the workhorse in Denver at the moment. He'll have a decent matchup next week against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that gave up 163 rushing yards in Week 1.
