Julius Thomas caught seven passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns in the Denver Broncos' season opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night. He was targeted eight times by Peyton Manning, finishing behind Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in that category.
Julius Thomas dominates for fantasy lineups in Week 1
For the second year in a row, Thomas went off in his season opener.

Last year Thomas opened the year with five receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns. The Broncos star tight end seems to have a knack for starting the year off on the right foot.
Fantasy impact: Thomas' upside is certainly greater that his final stat line from 2013, especially with Eric Decker out of the picture in Denver. All three of his touchdowns in Week 1 came in the second quarter. His third touchdown was a quick 5-yard pass from Manning on a slant in single coverage. There was no stopping Thomas.
It's clear Thomas is at the top of his position in weekly rankings, but if he can continue to score with consistency, he could challenge Jimmy Graham for the No. 1 spot for the year. Hopefully you bought plenty of shares in Thomas' third-round ADP.
